Hello! Today I want to learn about English grammar. Grammar helps us speak, write, and understand English correctly.
A sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop (.), a question mark (?), or an exclamation mark (!).
A simple sentence usually has two parts:
- Subject → Who or what the sentence is about.
- Verb → The action or state.
Examples
- I study English.
- Ahmed plays football.
- We read books.
- She drinks tea.
- They live in Somalia.
Every sentence needs a subject and a verb.
Positive Sentences
Use positive sentences to talk about something that is true.
Examples:
- I am a student.
- She is my friend.
- We learn English every day.
- They have a teacher.
- He likes reading.
Negative Sentences
Use not to make a sentence negative.
Examples:
- I am not tired.
- She does not like coffee.
- They are not at school.
- We do not watch TV every morning.

Questions
Questions help us get information.
Examples:

- Do you study English?
